Where Faith and LIfe Come Together

Helping Hands

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith, but has no deeds?  Can such faith save him?  Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well, keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?  ~James 2:14-16

The Helping Hands Fund is set up to assist those in Marshall County with rent, utilities, medication and other essential items.  This project is funded through donations from individuals, Sunday School Classes and gifts left at the altar during Holy Communion.

The individuals receiving assistance are screened through the Salvation Army or Family Resource Center before any monies are provided.  Checks are sent directly to the utility company, etc.  No cash is given to the individuals.  All donations to this fund are charitable contributions and are tax deductible.
